Guide

How much does a website cost in 2026?

It depends on who builds it and what it has to do. These are the ranges the most-read guides publish, in the United States and in Colombia, what moves the price, and what we charge.

In the United States

A website builder, by yourself $200–$800 the first year, then $17–$120 a month WebsiteSetup (November 2025)
A freelancer $2,000–$7,600 ($50–$95 an hour, 40–80 hours) WebsiteSetup (November 2025)
An agency $5,000–$15,000 for a complete small business site WebsiteSetup (November 2025)
Movidagráfica A website from $2,800, a one-page site from $1,200, an online store from $4,500 Our pricing

In Colombia

A basic or personal site COP 300,000–1,000,000 GoDaddy (October 2025)
A landing page COP 1.5–3.5 million Cangrejo Digital (September 2026)
A corporate website COP 4–9 million Cangrejo Digital (September 2026)
An online store COP 7–18 million or more Cangrejo Digital (September 2026)
Movidagráfica A website from COP $8,900,000 + IVA, a one-page site from COP $3,800,000 + IVA, an online store from COP $14,350,000 + IVA Our pricing

Ranges are what each guide publishes for the market, not quotes. Our prices are starting prices; a Discovery turns your scope into a fixed quote.

What moves the price

  1. 01

    How many kinds of page

Five pages that share one layout cost less than twenty that each need their own. What counts is the number of templates, not the number of pages.

  2. 02

Who writes and shoots the content

Copy, photos and video are often left out of a quote. Ask whether they are in it, and who delivers them.

  3. 03

A custom design or a template

A template is faster and cheaper; a design made for your brand and your content is what makes the site look like yours.

  4. 04

    Selling online

A store adds the catalogue, checkout, payments, shipping and taxes, each set up for your market.

  5. 05

    What it connects to

A CRM, a booking calendar, forms that notify your team, analytics: each integration is work to build and to keep running.

  6. 06

    Languages

A second language is its own copy and its own pages, set up so search engines index both.

What it costs to keep it running

Professional WordPress maintenance, with someone who updates, backs up and fixes the site, runs $240 to $1,000 or more a month in the United States (Codeable (March 2026)). In Colombia, technical maintenance runs COP 250,000 to 900,000 a month (Cangrejo Digital (September 2026)).

Our care plan is $250 a month: managed hosting, updates, security, backups and 8 hours of small changes every month.

How we price

Every engagement starts from a set price. Discovery turns it into a fixed quote for your project.

Projects are paid in three parts: 40% to start, 40% at the first delivery and 20% at the final delivery.

See what each engagement includes: web design, online stores, brand identity, or all our prices.

Questions

Before you ask

Is a website builder enough?

For a personal page or a test, often yes. A business that needs its own design, a content structure, SEO and someone to run it usually outgrows one.

Are taxes included?

Prices are in US dollars, before taxes. For clients in Colombia, VAT (IVA, 19%) is added to each payment request. Once it’s issued, the electronic invoice is on the payment request’s page.

In which currency do I pay?

Clients outside Colombia pay in US dollars by international transfer. Clients in Colombia pay in pesos, by transfer to Movidagrafica, Agencia de Marketing SAS, at the official exchange rate (TRM) of the day we send the payment request, which shows the amount in pesos.

What is a Discovery?

Before any design: a workshop, an audit of what you have and a written plan with scope, timeline and a fixed quote. Credited to the project if you go ahead.
